At a campaign rally in Minnesota on Sunday, Donald Trump revealed he once offered President Joe Biden $1 million to break 100 in a game of golf. Trump claimed Biden turned down the bet.
“I said I would take you to any course you want and give you $1 million if you could break 100,” Trump told a packed Republican crowd in St. Cloud. “He turned me down,” he added, implying that Biden was not up to the challenge.

During the campaign rally, Trump mentioned he adjusted his offer after Biden declined the initial bet. “Then I said, I’ll give you ten strokes a side. I’ll give you $1 million if you could beat me. He had no chance,” Trump said. “They talk a good game, but it’s all talk.”
The topic of golf between Trump and Biden gained attention earlier this year during their first presidential debate. Earlier in July, Trump dared his successor to another debate without moderators and challenged him to a round of golf. “It will be among the most watched sporting events in history, maybe bigger than the Ryder Cup or even the Masters,” Trump deadpanned earlier in a campaign speech.

“And I will even give Joe Biden 10 strokes a side… and if he wins, I will give the charity of his choice, any charity that he wants, $1 million. And I bet you he doesn’t take the offer,” Trump said earlier. He even boasted about his golfing achievements, saying he had won two club championships and two regular club crowns.
The 78-year-old claimed that these accomplishments required exceptional skill, describing Biden as unable to hit a golf ball beyond 50 yards. In response to Trump’s claims, Biden suggested a driving contest and remarked on his past golf handicap, stating he had once brought it down to a six. “I’m happy to play golf with you if you carry your own bag. Think you can do it?” Biden had said earlier.
