Huawei has launched a new smartphone that has camera as its highlight. Named Huawei Honor 7i, the new phone sports a 13-megapixel flip camera that usually faces the back just like a regular camera, but can be easily flipped 180 degrees to transform into a front shooter. You can also adjust it at some crazy angles like 90 degrees for an experimental take on shooting.
Also, the Huawei Honor 7i has a fingerprint sensor positioned on the left side that doubles as a camera button.
Oppo in the past has also introduced a couple of smartphones with a rotating camera. The one from Huawei is based on a similar concept but with a different implementation.
The Honor 7i is a mid-range handset and features a a 5.2-inch 1080p display. Under its hood is a Snapdragon 616 SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM.
The phone comes in two storage variants - 16 GB (With 2 GB of RAM) and 32 GB (with 3 GB RAM) and packs a 3100 mAh battery. It comes in two colour options - gold and silver. The phone has dual-Nano SIM slots.
The new Huawei Honor 7i is priced at 1,599 yuan (about $250) in China for the 16 GB model and 1,899 yuan (about $300) for the 32 GB variant. There is no word on its global availability as yet.
