Preity Zinta made a sensational return to the 77th Cannes Film Festival, captivating hearts with her stunning looks. After a 17-year hiatus, the actress stood out in the crowd with her back-to-back impressive appearances. She walked the La Plus Precieuse Des Marchandises red carpet in a glamorous and elegant saree.
Preity Zinta dazzled in a pink georgette saree adorned with tiny sequins and beading, designed by the renowned Seema Gujral. She paired the saree with a customised pink embroidered sequin blouse. The saree was further accessorised with special jewellery pieces from Chopard. The actress shared several red carpet photos, captioning them, “Strike a pose.”
This was her second look at Cannes this year. Earlier, she stunned in a shimmery white gown. Preity Zinta’s ethereal white dress, designed by the prestigious Vivienna Lorikeet, made heads turn. The gown was adorned with exquisite pearl beading throughout. Its bow-styled sleeves, daring plunge neckline and backless design elevated the outfit to a new level.
The actress attended the festival to deliver the prestigious Pierre Angenieux Award to acclaimed Indian cinematographer Santosh Sivan. Reportedly, their collaboration began with the legendary film Dil Se. The duo is teaming up again for Lahore 1947. The film is being helmed by filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi. It also features Sunny Deol. Preity Zinta, best known for her appearances in legendary films such as Dil Se, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer-Zaara, has been absent from the big screen for a long time. However, the actress has returned and is all set to work opposite Sunny Deol. Sharing about being on a break, the actress in an interview with DD India stated, “I didn’t want to do a film. I was focusing on business, I wanted to focus on my personal life.”
She added that it’s good to play several lives, but not to forget to live your own. She mentioned that she didn’t want to be a successful actor and a lonely person. The film also marks Preity and Sunny’s long-awaited reunion. The duo had already appeared together in a couple of films—The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Farz and Bhaiaji Superhit.
