New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will deploy smart education system in 30 schools in the first phase. It has partnered with Extramarks Education to introduce ‘Extramarks Smart Class’ in 444 classes.
“Extramarks Education is a 360 degree digital learning solution provider for grades K-12 in education. Extramarks will undertake the work consisting of supply, installation, commissioning and functioning of hardware and uploading of educational digital content. The integration of Educational Digital content will be provided in both Hindi and English medium sections from Classes VI to XII,” according to a statement.
Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting along with Shri Naresh Kumar, Chairperson, NDMC and Shri Rao Inderjit Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge)-Statistics and Programme Implementation, Planning and Defence unveiled N.P. Co-ed Secondary School at Kidwai Nagar, Delhi with ‘Extramarks Smart Class’, today.
Taking forward Prime Minister Modi’s dream of Digital India, this is a progressive step in that direction. By introducing e-learning system in 30 NDMC schools, NDMC endeavour to enrich the students and the teacher communities by providing various learning and teaching resources to support and complement the existing curriculum.
“This technology enabled platform will certainly be much easier and interactive for children compared to existing traditional teaching methods and will leave a stronger imprint on the minds and learning of children,” said Atul Kulshrestha CMD, Extramarks Education.
