The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conclude the NEET PG 2023 round 3 counselling registration process today, September 25. The choice filling and choice locking period will also end today at 11:59 PM. Interested and eligible candidates can complete their registration process and fee payment at mcc.nic.in. Candidates who are already registered need not register again. However, they will be allowed to edit their choices.
As per the official schedule by MCC, the processing of seat allotment will be held between Sept 26 and 27 while the result of the round 3 seat allotment will be announced on Sept 28. Candidates who make it to the merit list will have to report to the assigned colleges between Sept 29 and Oct 6.
NEET PG Counselling 2023 Round 3: Steps to Register
Step 1 – Go to mcc.nic.in
Step 2 – Click on the NEET PG 2023 Counseling Round 3 Registration link available on the home page here
Step 3 – Enter the required details and click on login.
Step 4 – The choice filling window will open.
Step 5 – Fill the options and click on submit.
Step 6 – Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
Following the round 3 seat allotment, the MCC will commence the stray vacancy round on Oct 9 which will continue till Oct 11. The seat allotment result will be published on Oct 14. Students can report to the allotted colleges between Oct 15 to 20. Candidates who have not occupied a seat in any of the previous rounds of counselling or through state quota counselling are eligible to participate in the stray vacancy round.
The health ministry reduced the qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2023 to ‘zero’ following a demand by doctors to decrease the cut-off marks. The decision has been made to ensure that no PG medical seat goes vacant. There are around 70,000 PG medical seats across India. Out of these, 2,000-2500 seats remain vacant each year.
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG ) cut-off till now was set at 50 per cent for general/unreserved category students, 45 per cent for students with disabilities (PwD), and 40 per cent for students who belong to other reserved groups.
