Almost everyone aspires to have long, lustrous hair. Some of us, sadly, have damaged, brittle, fine, short hair. A sedentary lifestyle, a poor diet, and insufficient hair care practises are common culprits. Other factors also contribute to problems with trees. The problems with hair development are the most urgent ones. Although this is a normal aspect of ageing, it could also be an indication of a serious underlying medical condition. The different causes of hair loss must be understood in order to ensure prompt treatment. Genetically, every person’s hair is predisposed to stop growing at a certain length, cycle through the catagen, telogen, and exogen stages, and then start growing again.
In a recent Instagram post, Frances Atulomah, a healthy hair coach, listed five possible explanations for why your hair isn’t growing.
The following are the reasons that she stated:
1. Excessive heating: Put an end to overheating your hair. It’s time to take a break if utilising heat styling equipment on a regular basis is second nature to you. The keratin strands in your hair change shape when you use heat excessively, which over time makes your hair weaker, less elastic, and more prone to damage. The hair will become rough and frizzy, suffer breakage, and the cuticle will be harmed.
2. No hair care routine: Your hair may not be growing because you don’t follow a hair routine. Hair may eventually cease growing if you don’t take care of it. You can gradually start noticing dryness, dullness, hair loss, and dandruff. It’s time to start taking care of your hair the same way you would your skin. Improve your hair care regimen to ward against damage.
3. Damaged ends: Hair split ends are irreversible. Split ends cannot be repaired, therefore the only method to stop them from causing additional hair loss is to cut them off. To prevent split ends and breakage, your hair needs to receive the proper treatment.

4. Nutrient inadequacies: Vitamin and mineral deficiencies can cause major hair issues like slow hair development and thinning hair. Healthy hair benefits from nutrients including iron, protein, biotin, and zinc. However, if you are lacking in these vital nutrients, you are more likely to experience hair issues.
5. Health difficulties: Your hair loss may also be caused by health issues like thyroid issues, hormonal imbalances, and other health issues. Your hair’s health will immediately increase if you take care of yourself.
