Citroen C3 Aircross Bookings Open, Price Starts at Rs 9.99 Lakh
Citroen makes a bold entry into the Indian market with the C3 Aircross SUV, offering competitive pricing and impressive features.

Citroen has set Indian roads on fire with its grand launch of the C3 Aircross midsize SUV. The automaker has finally revealed the price of the SUV. Having said that, the vehicle is available at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

However, the prices for the mid-spec Plus and top-spec Max variants will be unveiled in the near future. Interested buyers can book the C3 Aircross at a token amount of Rs 25000 from October 15 onwards.

Citroen’s dealerships have given potential buyers a sneak peek at the indicative prices for the remaining two trims, fueling the excitement and prompting enthusiasts to secure their spots. The Plus trim is expected to fall within the range of Rs 11.30 lakh to Rs 11.45 lakh, while the high-powered Max trim is anticipated to zoom in between Rs 11.95 lakh to Rs 12.10 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

However, if you’re looking for some extra horsepower in your ride, the 7-seat configuration for the Plus and Max trims can be yours for an additional Rs 35,000. And for those who want to add a touch of style, the dual-tone paint job and the exclusive Vibe pack, available for the Plus and Max trims, come at just an extra Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.

The base-spec You variant offers a 5-seat configuration, omitting the roof-mounted AC vents present in the 7-seat models. This variant misses out on features like 10.2-inch touchscreen, speakers, reverse camera, rear wiper, rear defogger, or USB chargers. But the base-spec model comes equipped with nearly all the safety features from the top-spec Max trim, including two airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, TPMS, and reverse parking sensors.

The Citroen C3 Aircross cruises into a highly competitive segment, ready to take on the entry-level versions of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and the recently unleashed Honda Elevate.

Despite skipping some of the fancy frills like a sunroof, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and six airbags that its rivals flaunt in top-spec trims, the C3 Aircross packs a punch with its aggressive pricing. For a quick comparison, the top-spec Seltos HTX with the 1.5-petrol engine and manual gearbox starts at Rs 15.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it nearly Rs 3 lakh pricier than the highest indicative pricing of the C3 Aircross. Even at the higher indicative price of Rs 12.10 lakh, the top-of-the-line Max trim is a more affordable choice than the top-spec Maruti Suzuki Brezza MT (Rs 12.48 lakh), which competes in a lower segment.

Under the hood, this powerhouse is fueled by a 110hp, 190Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
