Rakul Preet Singh, who has been actively working on her upcoming film De De Pyaar De 2 alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, recently sustained a back injury while working out at the gym. The injury occurred during an 80 kg deadlift attempt without using a supportive belt, leading the actress to take a necessary break from filming to recover at home. Rakul shared details of her injury on Instagram and later posted a photo with an important message, emphasizing the need to prioritize health and listen to our bodies.
In a previous update, the Bollywood diva mentioned that she had been in bed for the past six days due to her back injury. However, she expects it will take another week for her to completely recover. In her latest post, Rakul shared a photo of herself resting in bed, where she is smiling, showing her positive spirit and indicating that she is on the way to get well soon. Along with her picture, Rakul wrote, “Health is the biggest wealth. We often don’t acknowledge how grateful we should be to be able to walk around freely.”
Meanwhile, in the previous video (Now Deleted), Rakul Preet Singh revealed, “Here is a little health update. I did something very stupid. I did not listen to my body. I had a spasm, kept pushing it and it turned into a major injury. I have been on the bed for the last six days. I think it will take another week or say for me to fully recover. I really hope I recover faster than that because it is not easy for me to give in and rest. But, it is a lesson learnt that please listen to your body when it gives you signals. Don’t try to push. I thought that my mind was stronger than my body. It doesn’t always work like that. Thank you so much for all your wishes, especially the people who misses me. I will bounce back stronger.”
Before her injury, Rakul was filming De De Pyaar De 2, where R Madhavan will step into the shoes of her father. Ajay Devgn, on the other hand, is set to reprise his role, Ashish Mehra, from the original film. Directed by Anshul Sharma, more details about the cast and plot have been kept under wraps.
