KOCHI: The NIA Special Court on Wednesday issued production warrant to the Bangalore jail superintendent to produce the three accused in the Kalamassery bus-burning case, who are jailed in connection with the Bangalore bomb blasts case. Fifth accused Sabir Buhari, seventh accused Tajuddin and eleventh accused Ummar Farooque are in Bangalore Central Prison. Judge S Vijayakumar also directed to split up the charge against Shefeeque, K A Anoop and Muhammed Sabir who are absconding. NIA had filed chargesheet against 13 accused. Thadiyantavida Nazir, the alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, is the prime accused in the case while Soofiya Madhani, wife of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Nasir Madani, is the 10th accused in the list. The NIA had earlier pointed out that Soofiya Madhani and Majeed Parambayi were the chief conspirators in the case. The agency said that the accused had assembled in a masjid at Aluva and chalked out the plan at the instance of Soofiya and Majeed.The chargesheet said that the accused entered into a criminal conspiracy in the first week of September 2005 to torch the TNSTC bus in retaliation for the continued detention of Abdul Nasser Madhani in Coimbatore jail. According to the NIA, Thadiyantavide Nazir, Abdul Haleem of Kollam, Ismail alias Bomb Ismail of Aluva, Shafeeq of Kannur, Sabir Buhari of Perumbavoor and Muhammed Navaz of Kannur boarded the TNSTC bus to Salem as passengers on September 9, 2005, threatened the driver with a pistol and a knife and asked all the 31 passengers to get off the bus and then burnt it using petrol and diesel. Abdul Raheem, the 12th accused in the case, was killed in an encounter with the army in Kashmir.
