TRIUMALA: The new board of trustees of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams with Narasapuram MP Kanumuri Bapiraju as its chairman was sworn in at Bangaru Vakili of Lord Venkateswara temple here on Friday night.They were administered the oaths of office and secrecy at 9:18 pm. Along with Bapiraju (chairman), Dubbaka MLA Cheruku Muttyam Reddy, Rajahmundry MLA R Suryaprakasa Rao and P Gannavaram MLA M Rajeswari Devi were also sworn in as members.Executive officer LV Subrahmanyam was also administered the oaths as the member-secretary of the board. Two ex officio members of the Board, J Balaramaiah (endowments commissioner) and KV Ramanachary (endowments principal secretary- revenue) will be sworn in on Saturday.Joint executive officer KS Srinivasa Raju, deputy executive officer (temple) Muniratnam Reddy, deputy executive officer (general) TAP Narayana administered the oaths to Bapiraju and others. After being sworn in, the new chairman and members had the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. They were given Vedaasirvachanam at the Ranganayakula Mandapam and presented with Seshavastram and Prasadams by temple officials.Earlier, Bapiraju and others were accorded welcome with temple honours and conducted into the temple. Endowment minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Tirupati MP Chinta Mohan and MLA K Chiranjeevi and others were present. About 200 persons accompanied Bapiraju and others.
