Literary fest from Wednesday

KOCHI: Thevara Sacred Heart College will organise a literary fest ‘Sargapatham’ on Wednesday and Thursday. The 15th literary pentathlon Sargapatham will open with a symposium on ‘Corrupt Political Establishment versus Civil Society’ at the main auditorium of the college. Congress leader V M Sudheeran, environmentalist C R Neelkandan and advocate Jayasankar will be the moderators.The competitions will be held for extempore, essay writing, quiz, group discussion and mock press.Each college can send a team of three students and at least two participants can take part in all the five events. Each year 25 teams participate in the event held annually. The best all-round team will get Rs 4,000 and best all-round performer will get Rs 2,000.
