Q. Do the results reinstate the Katju belief of 90%?! If not, what do the results actually say of the voter psyche in K'nataka? (Not expecting a politically correct answer; Rather an honest one.) Asked by: Dushyant Singh Karnawat

A. It is more a vote against BJP than in favour of Congress. It is vote against corruption.

Q. Have you faced any corruption while being an entrepreneur and will new regime be able to give honest and fair govt. Asked by: Manush

A. Of course all the time! But if you are determined not to cut corners yourself and ready to wait than pay then doors open always and there are also honest people who will help you.

Q. How do you view the Assembly poll results? Asked by: Deepak

A. People want clean government that delivers. Unfortunately they are often between the devil and the deep sea when it comes to choosing between two parties.

Q. What are your views on Jet-Etihad deal and is it good for aviation sector in India and will be profit making initiative? Asked by: Shailesh

A. It is good for passengers as they will have more competition which will result in lower fares and better service. It is good for the economy as it will more routes and city pairs and attract investments because of better connectivity. And very good for creating new jobs.

Q. Whatever being the reason to keep corruption away(even for cosmetic purposes if BJP had done it). Doing so the voters haven't shown any consideration whatsoever. Atleast in the outset Congress's approach has been to wait and watch till the storm is over bring them back ( Abishek singhvi, salman Khurshid etc etc... So playing in people's poor memory is a good ploy to win elections. If that is the trend its very bad. Inspite of power politics played by BSY he still wins 10 seats based on just is caste. are things this bad in our attitude? Asked by: Prajeeth Prasadan

A. Yes. We need more participation of the public on civic issues and holding the elected representatives accountable. And more important than sacking guilty ministers or bureaucrats or businessman in nexus we need systemic changes in our institutions are needed- like CBI and Lok ayukta . So we need people like Anna Hazare. He stands vindicated.

Q. The Karnataka state is known to be HI TAKE STATE, did people really come out, openly and did they assessed individual candidate and also the party or just based on the propaganda of political parties and media. What did you find this time! Asked by: Subodh Deshpande

A. Largely tickets are still given based on caste ,money and muscle. Only 43 per cent voted in Bangalore! But there was also anti bjp wave which was basically vote against corruption.

Q. World's other airlines are continuously making profits like Japan airlines and Delta, but Indian policymakers always want to portray aviation sector as loss making one so is it because of vested interest and bad policies. Asked by: Shailesh

A. Most full service carriers are in loss all over the world. There are many low cost carriers who have been in profit for many years. Southwest Airlines of USA is in profit for last 40 years. Indigo and spice are in profit in India. But we need a long term vision from govt of India for aviation and make it a core infrastructure.

Q. You say, "It is more a vote against BJP, than in favour of Congress. It is vote against corruption." To me - personally - this sounds like an oxymoron. Would you please rationalize this for us? Asked by: T. R. Mahesh Babu

A. You are right. Ivy's a vote against corruption.

Q. In the scale of 1 to 10, where will you rate our practices involved in democracy, electoral process and parties candidate selection process. Asked by: Subodh Deshpande

A. 4 per cent. But our election commission is doing a great job.

What's your reaction?
