Haj flight from Bhopal with 237 pilgrims departs for Mecca
Bhopal: The first Haj flight this year with 237 pilgrims on board from Bhopal left for the holy city of Mecca from Raja Bhoj International Airport in Bhopal.

Bhopal: The first Haj flight this year with 237 pilgrims on board from Bhopal left for the holy city of Mecca from Raja Bhoj International Airport in Bhopal.

A total of total 237 Haj pilgrims including 120 males and 117 females left for Mecca last night but the main attraction among them were a five-year-old Haj pilgrim Syed Umar and an 81-year-old Syed Altaf Hussain, both from Bhopal.

The Air India flight left Bhopal at about 2015 hours last night for Jeddah, in the presence of large number of relatives and friends, the State Haj Committee Chairman, Sanawwar Patel said late last evening. The pilgrims boarded the flight after a grand Dua (prayer) for a peaceful and safe Haj was conducted by the Shahar Qazi Bhopal, Maulana Syed Mushtaque Ali Nadvi and Peer Sayeed Mian Sahab.

Emotional scenes were also witnessed at the transit point at Tajul Masajid (Masajid) and airport where a large number of relatives and friends had gathered to bid adieu to the Hajis. The Madhya Pradesh Backward and Minority affairs Minister, Ajay Vishnoi, All India Haj Committee Member, Musarrat Shahid, MP Minority Commission Chairman, Anwar Mohd Khan, M P Madarsa Board Chairman, Rashid Khan, BJP leader Saleem Khan, Congress Congress leaders, Manak Agarwal and P C Sharma were among those who saw off the pilgrims at the Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal.
