Different district courts in Bihar award life term to 14 persons in separate cases
A district court here on Friday sentenced seven persons to life imprisonment in a six-year-old murder case in Bihar's Munger district. Additional District Judge (ADJ) A K Shrivastava also imposed a penalty of Rs 10,000 each on the seven accused.  The seven had murdered 35-year-old Dinesh Mandal in village Kalyan Tola over a land dispute in 2007.

In Darbhanga, three persons were sentenced to life by a court on Friday in connection with a four-year-old murder case.

The court of Additional District Judge Sunil Kimar Singh also imposed Rs 10,000 penalty on the three including a woman. The trio had severely beaten up a man and forcibly administered him a sulphas tablet in a village on April 21, 2009. The man died later on.

Also, in Samastipur, a local court on Friday sentenced four persons to life imprisonment for murdering a woman last year.

Additional District Judge Radheshyam Singh passed the order awarding life sentence to four persons for killing one Pratibha Devi in 2012. The brutal murder took place in Sarairanjan police station area of Samastipur district on April 25.
