To mark the occasion of Ganesha Chathurthi, Genesis Art Gallery, Jayanagar, is holding Kirti — An ode to Lord Ganesha — an exclusive exhibition of paintings of Lord Ganesha.The exhibition will be inaugurated by Rani Satish, exminister for Kannada and Culture, Govt of Karnataka at 6.30 pm on August 30.Art works depicting Lord Ganesha in various forms and in unimaginable hues by noted artists such as Milind Nayak, GR Mishra, Nikunja Bihari Das, Sangeet Samantaray, Santosh, GK Padhi, Manash Ranjan Jena, Laxman, Jayanto Khan, Nupur Chowdhury and many other upcoming artists will be on display for public from August 31 to September 20.“Lord Ganesha is worshiped with all the devotion and fervour by both young and the old alike.In order to make this festival more special, we decided to hold an exclusive exhibition of paintings of Lord Ganesha at our gallery.The above mentioned artists have created these paintings exclusively for this exhibition,” says Netra Shylendra of Genesis Art Gallery.“These exclusive exhibits are sure to make this festival more special to art lovers.We have on display art works of 21 artists from across India,” says artist Gyanesh R of Genesis Art Gallerie.Genesis Art Gallerie is the brainchild of art lover Netra Shylendra.“Bangalore is home to many noted artists, and has always nurtured the passion for arts among art lovers.Genesis is my dream nurtured to reality.The gallery is basically a meeting point for artists, art lovers and art buyers who will come together for the good of art,” says Netra.“The works of art on display in our spacious gallery speak for themselves.We will curate exhibitions to showcase art works of established as well as upcoming artists.The gallery will showcase an exquisite range of art works including that of canvas, contemporary paintings, sculptures and murals,” she adds.Genesis has been a reality with the support of noted artist Gyanesh R Mishra.“The gallery has been set up with an aim to popularise various old and dying art forms and also help provide better exposure to upcoming and contemporary artists,” said Mishra
