Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna is all set to grace the silver screen with his second film of the year, Bhagavanth Kesari, scheduled to hit theatres on October 19. After his earlier 2023 release, Veera Simha Reddy, which delighted audiences during Sankranti, Bhagavanth Kesari promises to be a Dussehra treat for his legion of fans. With the film’s trailer already generating a positive response, excitement is building among the audience.
As the pre-booking of tickets for Anil Ravipudi’s Bhagavanth Kesari commences, it is met with an enthusiastic response. Reports indicate that ticket reservations in both Telugu states are on the rise, with many theatres already fully booked. Industry experts are optimistic about the film’s performance, especially benefiting from the festive holidays during its initial week of release.
Meanwhile, overseas, the film is gradually approaching the milestone of half a million dollars in the USA, even before its premiere shows. Bhagavanth Kesari is expected to garner international acclaim due to its strong emphasis on human emotions.
In Bhagavanth Kesari, Nandamuri Balakrishna takes a different route by portraying a character closer to his real age, distinguishing him from contemporaries like Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi, who often portray younger roles. Balayya plays the role of a father to Srileela in the movie. Notably, his previous film had a box office clash with Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya.
While no major Telugu project is slated for release alongside Bhagavanth Kesari, the film will face competition from Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo at the box office.
Recently, Bhagavanth Kesari received its censor certificate, obtaining a U/A rating. The film is expected to run for 155 minutes. With a budget ranging between Rs 90 crores and 100 crores, Bhagavanth Kesari has reportedly already grossed Rs 67.35 crores worldwide. To break even, the film needs to reach a target of Rs 68.50 crores, a mark many are confident it will soon achieve.
