Thomas Tuchel’s Salary As England Head Coach Revealed: Report
Thomas Tuchel was recently appointed as the head coach of the England football team.

England’s new football team head coach Thomas Tuchel’s annual salary has now been revealed. The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager recently penned down an 18-month deal as Three Lions head coach.

Tuchel is now understood to be on course to earn a similar salary as England’s former head coach Gareth Southgate. The Sun has claimed that the Tuchel is set to take home an amount of £5 million annually.

The figure might seem high for the role of head coach, but it is still a drastic pay cut compared to his £10 million-a-year deal as Chelsea’s in charge. Tuchel managed the Blues for 20 months before he was sacked in September 2022.

Thomas Tuchel’s package, reportedly, makes him the second-most-paid head coach in football who manages an international side. But the gap between him and the top place is understood to be a massive one. Saudi Arabia manager Roberto Mancini, reportedly, leads the list as the highest-paid international manager.

As per GiveMeSport,Mancini earns £21.5 million as Saudi Arabia’s coach. On the club level, Pep Guardiola claims the first spot with a £20 million annual salary at Manchester City, according to GiveMeSport.

As for Thomas Tuchel, it remains to be seen if he emerges as the ideal successor to Gareth Southgate. Tuchel was confirmed as the next Three Lions boss on Wednesday and he is set to take charge of the team on January 1.

Thomas Tuchel has been tasked with guiding the men’s side to the 2026 World Cup in the United States. England will be looking to end their 60-year wait for a major trophy at the FIFA event.

Speaking to BBC, Thomas Tuchel emphasized how anything can happen in sports. He said, “Nothing is impossible in sports. The federation is there, the women did it, the under-21s did it, so there is no reason [we can’t]. At some point we have to free ourselves from history, we have to focus on the process and this will start from January.”

Thomas Tuchel also explained that he was not initially sure about making the switch from club football to international action. Tuchel claimed that he was excited to work with a very special and exciting group of players.
