Former Liverpool star John Arne Riise to join Kerala Blasters for ISL 2: reports
Riise, who played for AS Roma as well, is expected to become the new signing for the Kerala team, which is managed by Peter Taylor and co-owned by Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Former Liverpool full-back John Arne Riise could be seen playing for Kerala Blasters in the second season of Indian Super League (ISL), IBNLive Sports has learned.

Riise, who played for AS Roma as well, is expected to become the new signing for the Kerala team, which is managed by Peter Taylor and co-owned by Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

According to the source, Kerala have been in talks with Riise of late but no contract has been signed as of now. Riise, who is Norway's most capped international player, is currently a free agent.

The defender spent seven years at Anfield, during which time he made 334 appearances for the Reds. He was also famous for his brilliant free-kicks. If he completes his move to last year's ISL runners-up, he will link up with striker Chris Dagnall.

Dagnall replaced former striker Ian Hume in the Kerala squad. Hume completed a move to champions Atletico de Kolkata on Sunday.
