After New CEO, Manchester United Considering To Make Three More Appointments: Report
The English giants are reportedly working on deals to rope in a new sporting director, head of recruitment, and a technical chief scout as well.

Manchester United recently appointed Omar Berrada from city rivals Manchester City as the new chief executive of the club. It is now being reported that Manchester United are set to make more appointments as they are planning to continue with their senior staff overhaul.

Sources told Football Insider that Manchester United can expect to complete three more appointments in the next few weeks. The article went on to claim that the English giants are working on deals to rope in a new sporting director, head of recruitment, and a technical chief scout as well. It has been learnt that Sir Jim Ratcliffe who recently bought a minority stake at Manchester United is willing to hire experienced figures to take care of football operations at Old Trafford.

Manchester United were in search of a new CEO since the departure of Richard Arnold. Reports suggest that Omar Berrada’s successful stint at Manchester City convinced the Red Devils. Sky Sports claimed that the appointment was made by Jim Ratcliffe after discussions with Joel and Avram Glazer. Berrada was the chief football operations officer at City Football Group and he handled talent management, performance services and football intelligence.

“The club is determined to put football and performance on the pitch back at the heart of everything we do. Omar’s appointment represents the first step on this journey,” read a statement shared by Manchester United.

“As one of the most experienced football executives at the top of European football, Omar brings a wealth of football and commercial expertise, with a proven record of successful leadership and a passion to help lead change across the club,” the statement added.

The Football Insider article also claimed that a new head of recruitment is a top priority as INEOS wants to solve the miserable transfer decisions made at Manchester United in the last few seasons. The Premier League giants have reportedly shelled out more than £1.5 billion since their former manager Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

Coming back to the on-field developments, Manchester United currently occupy the eighth spot in the Premier League standings. Having played 21 matches so far, the Erik ten Hag-coached side have succeeded in winning 10 matches. In their next match, Manchester United will be up against Newport in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
