Well, not for this woman from Brooklyn. For Elizabeth Sweetheart, 81, this devotion to a specific colour is not merely a passing whim but a way of life that has endured for well over two decades now.

In a world marked by fleeting trends and shifting preferences, Elizabeth’s unwavering dedication to a singular colour – green, defines her unique lifestyle. Her every moment is painted in vivid shades of green and it brings her boundless happiness.

Sweetheart is a familiar figure in the Carroll Gardens area of Brooklyn, where she has earned the moniker ‘Green Lady’ for her enduring commitment to all things green. This devoted approach to life has been a constant for more than 25 years, as she consistently adorns herself from head to toe in a vibrant lime green ensemble, complete with hair dyed to match, reports Legit.

Sweetheart has abstained from wearing any other colour. In an earlier interview with a popular video content creator, she shared insights into her eccentric love for the colour. During the conversation, she revealed that her deep connection with the colour green stems from a childhood visit to her father’s house in Florida. Elizabeth recounted her excitement about the rare opportunity to visit her father, as their connection had been limited due to her parents’ divorce.

It was during this visit that she discovered her profound affection for green, as every aspect of her father’s residence was adorned with this colour.

“It was really exciting for me to go because we hadn’t really connected,” she says. “The water was aqua green, deep rich greens. They painted all the palm trees,” she further adds.

To preserve the memory of her father and the positive feelings associated with that visit, Sweetheart decided to adopt green as the predominant theme in her life.
