Coldplay Fans Face Long Queues as BookMyShow Limits Mumbai Concert Tickets to 4 Per User
The Grammy-winning British band Coldplay is set to light up the stage in Mumbai for the India leg of their Music of the Spheres World Tour on January 18 and 19.

Coldplay fans assembled, and the BookMyShow site crashed under the sheer weight of their excitement. As the British boy band is returning to India after nine long years, people rushed to secure tickets for the Music of the Spheres World Tour. After the clock ticked down to 12 noon, when tickets were set to go live, the site crashed. Not only that, minutes before the ticket sales going live, BookMyShow slashed the original cap of eight tickets per user down to just four.

BookMyShow, in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), said that they have capped four tickets per user, explaining that they want every fan to have a “fair chance of getting to experience the show”.

Another posted this:

An X user said that BookMyShow is the “online version of Rajiv Chowk metro”.

Fans faced long queues after the ticketing site capped the tickets per user. An individual hinted at the scam, saying, “Another day another scam. The queue number didn’t change for a good 20mins but the seats got booked. Good one BookMyShow.”

Coldplay will perform on January 18, 19 and 21 as part of its India leg of the record-breaking music tour.
