Heath Ledger's legendary portrayal of the Joker in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight is considered as the gold standard for comic book movie character depiction. The actor's dedication in bringing the popular DC comics character to life also earned him posthumous Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for the role in the 2008 superhero movie.
However, Sridevi's daughter Janhvi has now claimed that the late Australian actor was not Nolan's original choice. Taking to Instagram, Janhvi, who is all set for her Bollywood debut with Dhadak, shared a story featuring a picture of herself as a child in which she can be seen having a red nose and lips as she smiles at the camera.
Sharing it, she quipped: “Lesser known fact: I was Nolan’s first choice for The Joker, had to decline for Dhadak!” Take a look:

Dhadak is an adaptation of the acclaimed Marathi film Sairat and is being backed by filmmaker Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions. The film will see Ishan Khatter opposite Janhvi.
