New Delhi: After the recent update to let users share PDF documents in chats, WhatsApp has now introduced a new feature that lets users choose to save incoming media for specific chats.
This iOS-only feature can be accessed from the contact info or group info from where one could choose to save the incoming media as default (off), always, or never.
It is especially helpful when the user device is not on a robust internet connection or is running out of phone storage.
Other than the option to choose the frequency of saving incoming media, the latest Version 2.12.16 further brings the ability to let users reply to WhatsApp messages right from the in-app notifications.
Other minor tweaks include missed call notifications which now appear inside of chats.
