Will Not Speak Much, Reserving Lengthy Speeches For LS Campaign: Parrikar Tells BJP Booth Workers in Goa
Parrikar, who is ailing from pancreatic ailment, appealed to the workers to ignore the rumours that would be floated in the run-up to the elections.

New Delhi: Addressing Atal Booth Karyakarta Sammelan in the presence of BJP president Amit Shah, Goa CM Manohar Parrikar excused himself from making a lengthy speech, saying he is saving his energies for the speeches marked out for the Lok Sabha campaign.

Parrikar, who is ailing from pancreatic ailment, appealed to the workers to ignore the rumours that would be floated in the run-up to the elections.

“You have gathered in a big number here. I will not be speaking much today. I am reserving my lengthy speeches for election,” he said at the beginning of his address.

The Goa CM predicted that the Congress will face same fate as that of Sri Lanka, possibly a reference to the political instability in the island nation.

“The thing which happened to Sri Lanka it will be of Congress,” Parrikar said.

He urged the workers to stay united and help re-elect Prime Minister Modi.

Parrikar, 63, has been in and out of hospitals in Panaji, Mumbai, Delhi and the USA in the last one year.
