The internet is cooking up wild conspiracy theories -- McDonald's ketchup to fake suntan to curling iron burns -- but the marks on former US president Donald Trump's hand look more like blisters

In the news for his $10-million defamamtion trial, former US president Donald Trump has sparked an internet frenzy after pictures of him with red stains on his hands surfaced. As the businessman waved at his supporters, people became more interested in the “mysterious red cuts” on his palm and fingers, as per a report published by the Daily Mail.

People on the internet are cooking up wild conspiracy theories — McDonald’s ketchup to fake suntan to curling iron burns — but, what is the mystery behind Trump’s red hands? The marks on Trump’s hand look like blisters but here are more theories that have sprouted online.

Ketchup stains: Many social media users on X, formerly Twitter, suggested that the Republican Party frontrunner for the presidential elections had ketchup residue on his hands. “He carries ketchup packets with him so he can have mini tantrums. He forgot to wash it off,” said one user while another asked: “Ketchup stains?”

Blisters from frostbite: Some also said he could have got snow blisters from a frostbite. One user said, “I’m going with grabbing a handrail in sub-zero Iowa while not wearing gloves. Not a fan; but the wound pattern matches.” Another user said they thought it was a burn, but they “couldn’t see Trump trying to cook anything”.

Jelly doughnut: Perhaps, it was a jelly doughnut, quipped many users. One of them said:”Let the man enjoy a jelly donut.”
