The IBPS PO Mains 2023 exam is to be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on November 5. The institute has allowed centre change for candidates who opted for Manipur as an exam centre. The option of ‘centre change’ for such candidates is available up till November 1.
“After carefully reviewing the situation in the State of Manipur, it has been decided to offer an option of ‘Centre Change’ to the candidates who have opted Imphal (Manipur) as Centre for Online Main Examination for recruitment for the posts of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees under CRP PO/MT-XIII,” reads the official notice by IBPS. Eligible candidates desirous of change of centre may choose between Guwahati, Shillong, Aizawl, Kohima, Faridabad, Gurugram or Kolkata, the notice added.
IBPS PO mains exam pattern
The IBPS Probationary Officer Mains Exam will have both objective and descriptive questions. Objective-type questions will be of 200 marks and descriptive questions will be of 25 marks. 0.25 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer in IBPS PO Mains exam. This paper will be of three and a half hours. The paper will be of a total of 225 marks.
There will be a total of 5 sections in the exam:
Section 1- Reasoning and computer aptitude. There will be two sections — A and B. While A will have 15 questions of two marks each, there will be 30 questions in B. Candidates will get 60 minutes to solve this section for a total of 60 marks. In this, questions will be asked in both medium Hindi and English.
Section 2- General, economy, and banking awareness will have 40 questions of 40 marks. Questions will be asked in both medium Hindi and English. Candidates will get 35 minutes to solve this section.
Section 3- This section will be in English language. There will be two sections. There will be two questions of five marks each and 30 questions of one mark each. Candidates will get 40 minutes to solve the section for a total of 40 marks.
Section 4- Data analysis and interpretation will also have two sections. There are 25 questions of 2 marks each. There will be 10 questions of one mark each. Candidates will get 45 minutes to solve the section for a total of 60 marks. This section will feature questions in both English and Hindi mediums.
Section 5- This section will consist of letter writing and an essay. This will be of descriptive type. There will be two questions in this for 25 marks. Candidates will be given a duration of 30 minutes to answer this section.
As per the official website, any eligible candidate can register himself/herself for the examination as a scribe of any other candidate. If the same scribe writes for more than one candidate for the same exam, both the scribe and that candidate will be disqualified.
Meanwhile, the admit cards have been also issued for the examination. Candidates who have qualified for the IBPS PO prelims exam 2023 are eligible to appear for the mains. To download the admit card for the mains exam, candidates must go to the official website at ibps.in and use their application number to download the hall tickets.
