Amruta Khanvilkar has been working in Marathi and Hindi films for more than 15 years now. A skilled actress and dancer, Amruta manages to steal the limelight with her appearances in various reality shows, songs and singles as well. Besides, she recently started a new travel series called ‘Ticket to Maharashtra with Amrita Khanvilkar’ on her YouTube channel. The series will shed light on Maharashtra’s glorious culture, traditions, and the importance of its popular spots. Amruta Khanvilkar was recently trolled for less use of Marathi on the first episode of her series. Recently, she dropped the first episode of her travel series. It displays a glimpse of the city of Nashik and explores its temples, culture, and the importance of Paithani sarees in the city. Amruta can be seen narrating the importance of the city’s prominent locations. For the narration, she mainly used Hindi, English and Marathi. Less use of Marathi language is what has miffed her fans and followers.
One of the users, who was seemingly furious, commented on Amruta’s video and asked, “Are you ashamed to speak Marathi in the entire video? Why are you speaking in Hindi and English?” He then urged the Marathi-speaking people to unsubscribe her channel as he wrote, “If there are Marathi speakers like me in her followers list, please unsubscribe this lady …then she will understand. Jai Maharashtra. Dislike this video.”
Amruta, who is known for speaking her mind boldly, immediately responded to the troll with poise. She said, “Hey …this is a sponsored event. I am just the narrator of this program.” Her response prompted netizens to further suggest using the Marathi language as much as possible.
Notably, Amrutha dropped the first episode of her travel series on September 24. She shared the news on her Instagram handle and wrote, “Super thrilled and proud to announce my first ever travel series on my YouTube channel – Ticket To Maharashtra with Amruta Khanvilkar – Episode 1 streaming now exclusively only on my YouTube channel.”
Amruta will soon entertain her fans and audience with her next project titled Kalavati.
