The 69th National Film Awards ceremony 2023 is taking place today, October 17. The winners of this year will be conferred the prestigious award from President Droupadi Murmu. Ahead of the Award ceremony, Marathi music composer and director Saleel Kulkarni shared some unseen pictures from the award ceremony’s rehearsal. He has won the National Film Award in the Best Marathi Feature Film category for his directorial, Ekda Kaay Zala. He shared a bunch of selfies on Instagram. Saleel was seen donning a blue kurta for the rehearsal day. One of the pictures from the album is in a bag given to every winner. “To date, I have done rehearsals for various programs and films…But this training will be unforgettable.”

In his Instagram stories, Saleel shared a picture of his nameplate from the auditorium during the ongoing rehearsal.
He also shared another picture with Marathi director Nikhil Mahajan. The embedded text reads: “Rehearsals for tomorrow… With My friend and ace filmmaker Nikhil Mahajan.”
Ekda Kaay Zala features Sumeet Raghavan, Suhas Joshi, Urmila Kanetkar, Dr Mohan Agashe, Pushkar Shrotri and Arjun Purnapatre in crucial roles. Talking about the film’s storyline, Ekda Kaay Zala revolves around Sumeet Raghvan’s character named Kiran — a storyteller who has a loving and inseparable bond with his son, Chintan. However, their lives take an unexpected turn when Kiran becomes ill.
The winners of the 69th National Film Awards were announced on August 24, 2023. Allu Arjun bagged the Best Actor award for the film Pushpa: The Rise, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon have shared the award for Best Actress for their films Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively. Devi Sri Prasad won Best Music Direction (Songs). R Madhavan who made his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won the Best Feature Film. The Best Director Award has been bagged by Nikhil Mahajan for Marathi Film Godavari.
