Boney Kapoor Reviews Daughter Khushi’s The Archies

For any debutant, getting appreciation from parents for the work accomplishment is encouraging. As several star kids are making their debut in the Hindi cinema and are receiving applause for their impeccable performance, Khushi Kapoor is no exception. Boney Kapoor, the proud father, recently penned his thoughts on The Archies, which serves as the first project for his younger daughter. Taking to his Instagram, Boney Kapoor extended his admiration to the entire cast and team for their outstanding efforts in the film.

Khushi Kapoor, alongside Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina including others is all set to start their acting career from Zoya Akhtar’s movie – The Archies. The film is released on Netflix on December 7. The screening of this much awaited film, set in the backdrop of the 60’s was organised recently in Mumbai.

Like any other parents, Boney Kapoor too is filled with pride as his younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor, prepares for her much-anticipated debut in the Netflix film The Archies. As a spirited member of Khushi Kapoor’s cheering segment after the film’s screening on the night of December 5, Boney took to Instagram a day later to share an in-depth review about the movie.

Reflecting on his experience, Boney Kapoor fondly remarked, “Took me back to my school days when Archie’s comics were every youngster’s favourite past time, the world created by Zoya takes you back to the past, every actor is perfectly cast, the songs are absolutely in tune with Archie’s world, the entire crew needs to be complimented, netflix_in team included for their marketing & choosing to do this project & giving it all. Thoroughly enjoyed the film, and will watch the film again and again just like the one issue of the comic I read multiple times till the new issue was out.”

About Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, a teen musical comedy film:

Set in 1960s India, the storyline revolves around Archie and the gang navigating romance, friendship, and the threat to a beloved park from developers. According to an ET report, Akhtar describes the film’s tone as capturing the idealism, rebellion, peace, and love of the 60s, echoing the era’s rock ‘n’ roll spirit.
