'Are They Twins?' Bhumi Pednekar And Sister Samiksha's Striking Resemblance Confuses Fans

Bhumi Pednekar has solidified her position as one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood. She is frequently seen travelling in and out of the city for work commitments. A recent sighting at Mumbai airport added to the buzz surrounding her professional endeavours. She was accompanied by her sister, Samiksha Pednekar. The duo caused a stir among the paparazzi. The uncanny resemblance between the two sisters left photographers momentarily puzzled, as they struggled to differentiate between them. Often spotted together at social gatherings, the siblings often create confusion among onlookers. In the latest video, Samiksha, clad in a white top stepped out of the car first. Following suit was Bhumi, donned in a striking black top and blue denim, seamlessly joining her sister en route to the airport gate.

The paparazzi shared the video with a humorous caption that read, “Kaafi zyada confusion hai, Ek saath do do Bhumi? Hahaha, nahi ek Bhumi aur ek samiksha ab kon Bhumi kon Samiksha woh aap hi pata lagao. (Quite a bit of confusion, two Bhumi’s at once? Hahaha, no, one Bhumi and one Samiksha. Now you figure out who’s who).” Just like the photographers, social media users were also confused between the two. The Thank You For Coming actress, added to the fun by responding with a laughing emoji in the comment section.

While Bhumi Pednekar has made a name for herself in the film industry, her sister Samiksha Pednekar is a lawyer and entrepreneur, as per her Instagram profile. Despite the siblings’ unique career paths, they often share moments and attend various events.

In a previous interview with ANI, Bhumi expressed how her sister, among other women, has been a source of inspiration for her in choosing roles in women-centric movies. She said, “I get inspired by my mother, sister, my friends, female colleagues, director, and producer. When I see that we all are on the same level and have to deal with sexism at their own levels. This inspires me to make a film on that. As a woman, I feel like there should be fairness and Equality, as an artist I’m trying to bring that fairness with my work. Actors sometimes put limitations, but I don’t wanna do that. I always want to surprise the audience. I want to challenge myself as well as audience’s thinking.”

Bhumi Pednekar’s recent appearances included the film Thank You For Coming, directed by Karan Boolani. While Bhumi played the lead role, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh and Kusha Kapila appeared in pivotal roles in the film. Bhumi Pednekar also starred in The Lady Killer, where she shared the screen with Arjun Kapoor.
