Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya and popular South actor Dhanush are in the process of getting a divorce. Although the couple was spotted together a number of times after their separation announcement, Dhanush and Aishwarya’s divorce case has been going on in the Chennai Family Court ever since. They were also seen at their kids’ special occasions in school. Moreover, Dhanush had wished Aishwaryaa for her directorial film, Lal Salaam, on X. But now, it seems like a breath of fresh air for the duo’s fans as they somehow skipped appearing before the court for the latest hearing on their divorce case.
According to a report by ETimes, even after the estranged couple had mutually filed for divorce in the Chennai Principal Family Court, they were found absent in the last hearing due to reasons best known to them. Their case was brought before Judge Subadevi at the Chennai Family Court, who, after considering Dhanush and Aishwarya’s absence, postponed the hearing to October 19. The judge allowed both parties more time to prepare for the significant step in their lives. This drew much attention to the proceedings, leaving everyone speculating about their reconciliation.
Dhanush and Aishwarya previously elated their fans with their brief social media interaction in September 2024. Aishwarya took to her Instagram handle and shared images from one of her vacations with her kids, Yathra and Linga. The series of snaps showed the trio engaging in fun photo sessions and other such love-filled activities.
It also featured Aishwaryaa relaxing while sipping over coffee and a few more images. Sharing them, she wrote, “Mirroring memories… Reflecting happy randomness…. Lots of laughter, steps, coffee and ice cream. Just living moments…..cannot lie…I just forgot to post about my beautiful July! Konjam (little) late ..but like always said better late than never! #sharinghappiness.” Soon after she posted the pictures, her estranged husband, Dhanush’s reaction to the post, grabbed the attention. He was amongst the ones who liked her post.
Going back to Dhanush And Aishwarya’s love story, they tied the knot in 2004 after dating for quite some time. Their union was celebrated and loved by both the families and their huge fanbases. Together, the couple is blessed with two sons, Yathra and Linga. However, more than a decade after the duo was in marital bliss, they started facing challenges. This led to their separation, which they announced in separate social media posts in 2022. As per multiple reports, differences between Dhanush and Aishwarya drifted them apart, and they had been living separately.
