Taarak Mehta Ooltah Chashmaah star Gurucharan Singh, who played Roshan Singh Sodhi, made his first public appearance since he went missing earlier this year. The actor was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Saturday night with his pet dog in his hand. Gurucharan was seen talking about his possible return to TMKOC with the paparazzo.
In the video shared on Instagram, Gurucharan did not delve into his sudden disappearance earlier this year. However, he did look happy to be back in Mumbai. In the video, Gurucharan was asked if the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmaah have cleared his dues. The actor confirmed that it has almost been cleared but he is unaware about others’ status.
“Haan ji, sabka kar diye almost. Almost. Kuch ka mujhe nahi pata hai, woh mujhe puchna padega (Yes, they have cleared almost everyone’s payment. I don’t know about some, that I’ll have to ask),” he said. There were speculations that Gurucharan Singh exited the show due to delays in his payment, however, the actor had remained tight-lipped on the issue.
When asked if there are chances he would return to the show, Gurucharan said he has left that on God. “God knows. Rab jane. Mujhe kuch nahi pata hain. Jayse hi pata chalega, aapko bataunga (God knows, I don’t know anything. As soon as I get to know, I will tell you guys).”

For the unversed, Gurucharan Singh went missing on April 22, 2024. After an extensive search by the Delhi Police, the actor returned to his Delhi home on May 18. Soon after Singh returned home, he was interrogated by Delhi Police officials following which it was discovered that the actor had left home to be on a religious journey.
