While manga fans have already been celebrating the return of the popular Solo Leveling with its second season, they will now receive a double bonanza with a new movie before the anime returns in full. Earlier in 2023, Solo Leveling made a blockbuster debut, quickly establishing itself as one of the most popular releases of the year. Ever since enthusiasts have long been eager for the next part. While Solo Leveling Season 2 is set to premiere in January 2025, the makers are also ready with a special film titled Solo Leveling: ReAwakening.
According to ComicBook, the film will be released in November this year across theatres in Korea and Japan. However, the release date for the US is yet to be announced. The film will reportedly include a recap of the first season along with an early preview of the first two episodes from Season 2. Titled You Aren’t E-rank, Are You and I Suppose You Aren’t Aware, these episodes are completely new and unreleased, thus allowing fans to get a head start on the upcoming season.
At the Aniplex Online Fest 2024, the trailer for Solo Leveling: ReAwakening was unveiled, giving a glimpse of what fans can expect in the film. It will be screened in Korea on November 28 and Japan on November 29.
When Will Solo Leveling Season 2 Release?
The exact release date for the anime’s second season has not been confirmed, but it has been included in the Winter 2025 anime lineup. Once premiered, the series will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll. In the meantime, fans can catch up on the first season on Crunchyroll. “They say whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but that’s not the case for the world’s weakest hunter, Sung Jinwoo. Originally a webcomic, it was adapted into a popular webtoon with illustrations by Dubu. Solo Leveling follows the story of Sung Jinwoo, the weakest hunter in a world where hunting is considered a lucrative profession. While struggling to provide for his sick mother and support his sister’s education, Jinwoo takes up hunting despite his initial weakness.
