Drown will be the second single from Justin Timberlake's forthcoming album, Everything I Thought It Was.

American singer Justin Timberlake recently took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of his upcoming song, Drown, which is set to be released on February 23. The 43-year-old artist, who is currently in London, shared a video of himself playing the piano and singing the unreleased track, despite still recovering from the flu.

“Made it out to London, still recovering from this flu. But trying to power through. So excited for new music and everything coming this week… DROWN 2/23,” read the caption.

In the video, Timberlake expresses his excitement for the new music and everything else coming up this week. Drown will be the second single from his forthcoming album, Everything I Thought It Was, following the release of the album’s first single, Selfish, last month.

Timberlake, known for hits like Cry Me a River and SexyBack, made his return to Saturday Night Live recently, where he performed Selfish and premiered another new song, Sanctified. His upcoming album, Everything I Thought It Was, will be his first solo album since 2018’s Man of the Woods.

In addition to releasing new music, Timberlake is gearing up for the Forget Tomorrow World Tour, scheduled to kick off this spring. According to an ET source, Timberlake is thrilled about his musical comeback and is looking forward to performing again after taking some time away from the spotlight.

“Justin loves releasing new music and is so excited to be performing again. He really missed it and this has been in the works for a long time,” the source said.

Timberlake’s personal life has also been in the headlines recently, following the release of his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me. In the memoir, Spears revealed details about her past relationship with Timberlake, including a pregnancy and abortion during their time together.

While Timberlake has not directly addressed the memoir, he did mention during a show in Las Vegas last month that he meant “no disrespect” with his 2002 single Cry Me a River, which was inspired by their breakup.

Timberlake is now married to actress Jessica Biel, with whom he shares two sons, Silas and Phineas. Spears, on the other hand, has two boys, Preston and Jayden, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The release date for Everything I Thought It Was is scheduled for March 15.
