Fans Back Hannah Waddingham As She Schools Photographer At Red Carpet
When a photographer asked Hannah Waddingham to "show her legs" for some clicks, the actress refused the request saying that the shutterbugs would not have demanded the same thing from a man.

In her latest appearance, Hannah Waddingham expressed her displeasure with a paparazzo. The photographer’s comment on how she should pose visibly upset her. The Game of Thrones alum was at a red-carpet event on April 14, hosting the 2024 Olivier Awards in London. The occasion is conducted to celebrate several UK-based theatre productions. The verbal exchange between the actress and the shutterbugs happened outside the premises.

In a viral video doing the rounds on the internet, a photographer asked Hannah Waddingham to “show her leg” for some clicks. The Hollywood star refused to comply with the request and schooled him for their improper demand.

The visual clip captured Hannah Waddingham posing for the paparazzi. She was dressed in a sequinned pink one-shoulder gown, embellished with beads and featuring a floor-grazing train. Moments into the video, an unclear voice in the background seemingly urged Waddingham to pose for pictures by flaunting her leg.

Vehemently opposing the request, Hannah Waddingham could be heard saying, “Oh my god. You would never say that to a man my friend. I’ll move off.” Before walking down the stairs of the red carpet, she sternly instructed the shutterbug to never ask a woman to “show your leg”, displaying a “no” gesture with her hand and shaking her head.

Social media users lauded Hannah Waddingham’s befitting reply, praising her for not giving in to the unnecessary demands. “Love strong women calling people out for disrespect,” commented one individual. “Changing the culture and using your voice to raise the issue,” pointed out another. “Whoever he works for needs to put him through etiquette training. That was so disrespectful,” noted a third person. Actress Sharon Stone joined the comment section to say, “That’s my pal”.

Just a few days after the incident, Hannah Waddingham attended an episode of The One Show where host Alex Jones asked how the actress was feeling after the “leg show” experience, reports Digital Spy. The Ted Lasso star asserted that she was all “good” having “called out” on what needed to be addressed. She also revealed that she received an apology letter from the photographer.
