Light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred at isolated places in western Uttar Pradesh, while the state's eastern parts experienced mainly dry weather.
According to the MeT department, chief amount of rainfall was recorded in Orai at 3-cm, followed by Banda 1-cm.
Day temperatures fell appreciably in Faizabad and Lucknow divisions, rose in Meerut division and change little in the remaining divisions of the state.
The day temperatures were markedly below normal in Varanasi division, appreciably below normal in Gorakhpur and Faizabad divisions, below normal in Allahabad and Kanpur divisions, above normal in Jhansi division, and was normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
The highest maximum temperature was 45.5 degrees Celsius recorded in Orai.
The MeT department said the weather would be mainly dry in eastern parts of the state.
Rain and thundershowers may occur at isolated places in eastern UP on Monday, it said, adding that weather would be mainly dry over western parts of the state.
