Veterans Cricket team to leave for Sri Lanka

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 26-member Kerala veterans cricket team will leave for a  tour to Sri Lanka on August 15.The team will take part in the six a side cricket festival ‘Colombo sixes’ to be held at Colombo. Kerala will be represented by three teams namely Kerala Greens (40 and above), Kerala Blues (50 and above) and Kerala Masters (55 and above).Jayaraj, Ramesh and J K Mahendra will lead the Kerala Greens, Kerala Blues and Kerala Masters teams respectively.  The tour programme was announced by Chandrasenan Nair, president, Kerala Veterans Cricket Association, here on Sunday.He said that the association will soon initiate a proposal to build an indoor cricket stadium in the capital for the budding cricket talents.
