UP: Pregnant woman, infant burnt for dowry

Balrampur: A pregnant woman and her two-and-a-half year old son were allegedly burnt alive on Wednesday by her husband after his dowry demand was not met, police said.

Maltidevi and her son were burnt alive on Wednesday morning by her husband Maniram and his family members in Balpur village in Balrampur, they said. Both died on the spot.

An FIR has been registered against six persons, including Maniram. No arrest has been made in this connection.
