Oxford Bookstore and Retro Events organized the grand finale of ‘Dance and Fashion Show Competition’ for the children between the age group of 10 to 15 years.
The occasion was graced by Nitin Kumar, director and producer of the film Lotus Pond, while the competition was judged by the actors from the film, Akash Petla and Rohit Ranka.
In a bid to provide a platform for children in events like cooking and quizzing, the competitions conducted by the book store invited participants from schools around the city.
Among other events, a dance competition and a fashion show were conducted, besides drawing and painting. An overall winner was also announced by the end of the evening.
While winners received mementos, all participants were awarded certificates.
Students from Gitanjali, Model Mission School, Sloka and Secunderabad Public school were among those who walked away with prizes.
The entire event was hosted for a month wherein close to 200 children registered.
