Mumbai: As 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (DDLJ) today completed 1000 weeks since its release in 1995, film's leading star Shah Rukh Khan chose to spend the day at Yash Raj Films studio.
The blockbuster romantic saga was a landmark in the careers of Shah Rukh, Kajol and Aditya Chopra, who made his debut as a director with DDLJ.
"Late night shoot at YRF, Mumbai. No better way to drive back home, then to a day when it's a 1000 weeks of DDLJ," Shah Rukh posted on Twitter.
Basking in the success of his latest release 'Happy New Year', Shah Rukh is currently shooting his next project 'Fan', a YRF production.
Karan Johar, who made a guest appearance in the film as SRK's loser friend, also posted a picture on his Twitter account and wrote, "My first acting moment with @iamsrk."
Anupam Kher, who played a friendly father in the film, said the movie made the father-son relationship iconic.
"That attitude made father/son relationship iconic," Kher tweeted. The film is still playing at Mumbai's Maratha Mandir theatre.
