HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will launch the second phase of Rachabanda programme at a public meeting to be held at Jaggampeta in East Godavari district at 11.45 am on Wednesday.Later, he will launch the programme in Visakhapatnam district at a public meeting at Yelamanchili.About `3,500 crore worth of benefits will be distributed to 35 lakh beneficiaries across the state during the month-long programme.Further, the Indira Jala Prabha and Rythu Mahila Sadassulu will be launched in Telangana.While the Indira Jala Prabha is meant to make 10 lakh acres of fallow lands of SCs/STs cultivable, the Rythu Mahila Sadassulu are aimed to help women and farmers. About ` 1,300 crore will be spent in the Telangana region for the benefit of 55 lakh people under Rachabanda-II, Indira Jala Prabha and Rythu Mahila Sadassulu.During Rachabanda-II, the government intends to keep the assurances given during the first phase of the programme. Five lakh new pensions, allotment letters for six lakh Indiramma houses, 24 lakh new white ration cards will be distributed till November 30. The chief minister, ministers and other public representatives will participate in Rachabanda in all districts where the programme will be launched simultaneously.
