'Patiala House' a story on father-son relations

Akshay Kumar's character in Patiala House, Parghat Singh Kahlon plays a Sikh England citizen which has been inspired by England cricket team's Sikh member Monty Singh Panesar.

Parghat is talented and has always dreamt to be a pace bowler. His parents had migrated years back to London. Patiala House directed by Nikhil Advani is about a patriarchal family that has to bow down to the wishes and orders of the head patriarch. A father-son drama set in London has all three generations living together under one roof.

The film starring Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia is slated to release on 11th February 2011.
