HYDERABAD: The chief executive officer (CEO) of an online news portal was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly posting malicious content against Congress MP Madhu Yashki Goud.The content was posted on www.greatandhra.com, an online news portal a few months back.The website reported that Yashki had differences with his wife and deserted his children.The portal also wrote the MP’s relationship with another woman, CCS DCP J Satyanarayana said.Taking objection to the news report, the MP took up the issue with the CCS more than a month back.A case under Section 66-A of IT Act and Section 500 (defamation) were registered against the portal.Satyanarayana said the CEO of the news portal, A Venkat was arrested on Wednesday.Another case has been registered against the portal based on a complaint by a senior representative of a vernacular news channel with the state police, officials said.
