The girl was playing outside her house in the village on Tuesday when Islam, who lived nearby, took her to his place on some pretext and allegedly raped her, they said.
When the girl returned home, the family came to know about her ordeal and reported the matter to the police.
The accused, who has criminal antecedents, has been arrested and sent to jail following a court order.
The victim's medical report is awaited.
Earlier, a four-year-old girl was stoned to death in the district on February 23 allegedly by her neighbour after he failed to rape her.
