BERHAMPUR: Intensified patrolling in the City notwithstanding, miscreants managed to uproot an SBI ATM at Ankuli Main Road here and later dump it in a drain about 100 metres away. The incident came to light when a customer went to withdraw money and found the machine missing on Friday morning.Soon after, police rushed to the spot with sniffer dogs and launched an investigation. It is learnt that the miscreants broke open the ATM counter and fled with the cash box after throwing the ATM machine in a nearby drain.Finding the machine dumped, a local resident took it to sell it off to a scrap collector.However, police managed to retrieve the machine and detain him along with two others of the locality for questioning. Though the amount stolen could not be ascertained bank officials put the figure at around Rs 16 lakh
