Vadodara: A man allegedly set his wife on fire for disagreeing with his choice of youth with whom he wanted his daughter to marry, police said on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Jagdish Makwana, who hails from Hanumanpura village, allegedly set his wife ablaze on Monday after a heated exchange over the choice of the boy for his 18-year-old daughter, they said.
The victim Madhuben (39) succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Vadodara on Tuesday. Police registered a case under section 302 (murder) of IPC against Makwana.
