BANGALORE: The members of Standing Committee on Horticulture of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) visited Dasarahalli Lake on Friday.The committee members directed the BBMP authorities to cancel the contract of Dasarahalli Lake that was entrusted to a contractor citing delay in completing the work. The members also advised the BBMP authorities to float fresh tenders for the work.The committee members asked the BBMP authorities to initiate legal action on an agency that failed to complete the establishment of sewage water treatment plant at the lake. They asked the authorities to submit a report on this issue.The committee members also visited Nayandahalli Lake in Raja Rajeswarinagar division. The residents have complained to them against the non-completion of Rs 4.50-crore work. The members had directed the BBMP authorities to submit the work order since they have to inquire about the release of funds and inspect the quality of work.Standing Committee on Horticulture was led by Anajanappa, chairman and the members included S Keshava Murthy, R S Satyanarayan, Nirmala, N M Krishnamurthy, Shakuntala N, Aswath Narayan, G A Vijayan, B R Chandrasekhar.
