BANGALORE: Hearing on the bail application of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa has been posted to November 8, as a High Court judge sought clarification on the denotification of land from advocates of both the parties. “I am still studying the case... I need further clarification,” a division bench comprising Justice B V Pinto observed.Justice Pinto later adjourned the bail petition of Yeddyurappa, his kin and former minister S N Krishnaiah Setty, who are allegedly involved in denotification of lands at Rachenahalli, Uttarahalli and Agara.Advocates for the complainant Sirajin Basha argued that unlike the previous case in which Yeddyurappa was granted conditional bail, the second case has strong proof that the former CM acted in favour of his sons and kin. “We would argue based on the clarification sought as the offence committed is of a serious nature and the accused should not be granted bail,” advocate for Basha — himself an advocate — C H Hanumanthraya, argued. As for for the former chief minister, all he can do is only wait and watch until the court passes an order on his second bail plea.
