Doctors who have completed MBBS and have practised for less than six years will get a  hike of 60 percent. Those with experience of more than six and 13 years will get a 70 per cent and 80 per cent hike respectively.Diploma holders will get a hike of 76 per cent (for less than six years experience), 87 per cent (six to 13 years of experience) and 98 per cent (more than 13 years experience).“More than 4,000 doctors will start withdrawing their resignations from Thursday,”  president of Karnataka State Government Medical Officers’ Association (KSGMOA) H N Ravindra told Express.  The Davangere district hospital and Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore were returned to Department of Health and Family Welfare, “The doctors’ unions have agreed to these decisions as of now,” he said.However, for the remaining colleges, a Cabinet Sub-committee has been formed.  “Deputy Chief Minister R Ashoka will preside over this committee while Aravind Limbavali and  S A Ramdas will also be a part of the committee,” said Raju Adakalli, Principal Secretary to the Health Minister.“The sub-committee will come out with a report in two months regarding the returning of the remaining six district hospitals to the Health Department,” said a member of the KSGMOA.first published:August 16, 2012, 10:29 ISTlast updated:August 16, 2012, 10:29 IST
