Fasting 104 staff hospitalised

HYDERABAD: MLC M Geyanand, who had been on an indefinite fast for the past six days at Indira Park demanding solution to the problems of 104 service contract employees, was admitted to hospital by the police on Saturday evening. Three 104 service employees who had been on fast along with him as part of their strike, were also shifted to hospital.However, the 104 Service Employees Association has decided to continue their strike till their just demands are conceded. Speaking to Express, association general secretary R Ravindar said termed the police action undemocratic. Geyanand said the state government was not really committed to providing better medicare to rural poor and it was evident with its 'indifferent' attitude towards the strike.
